How to Make Your Space Feel More Green

Are you tired of staring at blank walls and wanting your space to feel less claustrophobic and lifeless? Try these tips to bring some of the outdoors in!



  1. Flowers and fruits: These small additions add a vibrant pop of colour and a sense of liveliness to your living quarters. Dried flowers are also another alternative that can make your living space more inviting without worrying about attracting unwanted guests like pesky insects. 

  2. Small plants: Succulents, hanging vines, and the like can freshen up the space, lift your spirits, and combat fatigue — even if they’re plastic!

  3. Natural light: Allow natural light to brighten your space rather than holing up in your dark, dank room. Instead of curtains, opting for blinds or shades can give you some vitamin D while not getting blasted by the sun!

  4. Earthy tones: Colour palettes, sage green, and light brown, are soothing to the eyes and create a warm and appealing atmosphere. 

  5. Rattan furniture & decor: Adding these elements adds a touch of rustic charm to your home! If you want to give a nod to nature without turning your room into a literal jungle, these pieces are perfect for you!

  6. Use natural materials: Incorporating natural materials like stone and wood, whether through photo frames or other accents, can bring texture and depth to your decor 

  7. Use scents to your advantage: Enhance the ambiance with scents! Floral and woody scents can evoke the feeling of being outdoors. Just be mindful not to overdo it to avoid triggering allergies!

  8. Create your view: Get creative and curate a mini garden by planting flowers nearby or even along your windowsill. Bring a touch of nature indoors, making your space more vibrant and visually interesting, all from the comfort of your room!
