Design for Wellness

Background

The aim of “Design for Wellness” is to encourage people in the community to take the first step towards being more intentional in caring about their well-being. These wellness checkpoints serve as visual and artistic reminders of the importance of consistent and proactive maintenance of well-being. Using a co-creation approach, the project also provides the public with greater involvement and ownership of a shared community space.

We hope that by transforming community spaces around Singapore into wellness checkpoints, the decals will be able to encourage conversations around wellness as well as encourage individuals to take action and care for their well-being.

The launch event for our first Design for Wellness was held on 17th May 2022 with Minister of State Ms Sun Xueling as the Guest-of-Honour. The event was also attended by various other leaders from healthcare, mental healthcare, and social service organisations in the vicinity of Woodlands and Singapore.
